
Description
Our client, a global joint preservation company, has an immediate opening for a Warehouse Specialist. This role will manage the receiving of raw materials, inventory control, and the shipment of finished goods.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming raw materials in compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Identify discrepancies and coordinate with purchasing or requisitioning teams to resolve any issues
- Properly store and label materials in inventory, maintaining physical control and organization
- Oversee the timely and accurate shipment of finished goods, both domestically and internationally
- Work with freight carriers to identify optimal shipping methods and pricing to meet customer requirements
- Ensure accurate material transactions in the ERP system and complete necessary documentation for QSR compliance
- Implement lean inventory practices and contribute to continuous improvement efforts, including 5S and Lean/Six-Sigma initiatives in alignment with corporate goals
- Perform all activities in accordance with the Quality System and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
- Other responsibilities as required
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED, or related experience
- Experience with a computerized MRP/ERP system (SAP preferred)
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and lifts
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on attention to detail and process documentation
- Ability to work autonomously, manage time effectively, and deliver results within deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally across all levels of the organization
- Experience with shipping and receiving processes in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Knowledge of warehouse equipment and operations preferred
- Experience with freight carriers, shipping terms, and international shipping regulations preferred
