Description

The Rework Specialist will be responsible for performing electromechanical repairs and supporting inventory record-keeping procedures within the manufacturing process. This role requires expertise in both SMT and through-hole rework techniques, as well as the ability to maintain high-quality standards in the assembly process.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
None

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform component-level repairs on assemblies using both Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and through-hole rework techniques.
  • Solder and desolder fine-pitch components to printed circuit boards (PCBs).
  • Repair through-hole pads, surface mount pads, and internal circuitry on PCBs.
  • Remove and replace SMT and through-hole components as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) controls and safety standards.
  • Assist with inventory management and record-keeping procedures.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Assembly Supervisor.

  • Proven ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • IPC-A-610 certification required.
  • IPC-J-STD-001 certification required.
  • IPC 7711 certification required.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of related experience.
  • Candidate must meet the definition of a U.S. person as outlined in ITAR 22 CFR 120.15 (U.S. Citizenship or Resident Alien Status) and 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
