Description

We are seeking a dedicated Program Manager – Day Services to oversee and enhance programs for individuals with disabilities. This role involves supervising staff, implementing engaging and effective programs, and ensuring a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment. The ideal candidate has strong leadership and organizational skills, experience with behavioral interventions, and a passion for fostering independence and well-being in others.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Ability to teach, mentor, and develop skills in individuals served.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with teams, families, and external partners.
  • Organized, efficient, flexible, and able to manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Physically capable of assisting individuals and ensuring safety during activities.

Responsibilities:

Community:

  • Recruit, hire, train, and orient staff and volunteers.
  • Ensure compliance with CARF/DDS/DOL standards.
  • Communicate with external agencies and oversee transportation vendor relationships.
  • Directly manage multiple programs, including autism and community-based initiatives.

Unity:

  • Foster teamwork and collaboration with coworkers, families, and external agencies.
  • Promote safety, evaluate risks, and address incidents promptly.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold policies and procedures.
  • Provide direct support when needed and ensure consistent implementation of behavior plans.

Belonging:

  • Treat all participants and staff with respect and positivity.
  • Facilitate family involvement and maintain a supportive program structure.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and case conferences.

Innovation:

  • Develop creative ways to engage participants and promote skill development.
  • Utilize technology platforms and basic computer programs to enhance communication and services.
  • Design and implement programs that meet funding and participant expectations.

Collaboration:

  • Ensure consistent delivery of care plans and participant goals.
  • Coordinate daily staffing schedules and oversee program safety.
  • Work effectively with families, coworkers, and funding sources to address participant needs.

Sharing:

  • Share relevant information with stakeholders and contribute talents and hobbies to enrich participants’ experiences.
  • Maintain accurate case records and documentation.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred; five years of related experience can substitute for a degree.
  • Experience working in behaviorally challenging environments and implementing behavioral interventions for individuals with disabilities is preferred.
