Responsibilities
The Principal Associate Scientist will be primarily responsible for performing experimental analysis of ELISA and overseeing the planning, shipping of relevant materials, data review, and communication with third-party labs under the direction of the manager or department head. The candidate will also be responsible for presenting data, soliciting feedback, and incorporating it to ensure the success of the ELISA project. Additional responsibilities include performing internal endotoxin tests, appearance assessments, pH, osmolality, and UV analysis as needed on reference materials and non-GMP samples.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
- Perform ELISA experimental analysis independently in-house and ensure successful method development.
- Plan, discuss, and execute activities tied to the ELISA project at third-party contract labs.
- Procure and ship materials to/between third-party labs as needed.
- Perform endotoxin tests and other compendial tests under supervision.
- Conduct UV studies to determine molar extinction coefficients under supervision.
- Assist with troubleshooting as needed.
- Support data mining efforts as required.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field, preferably biology, microbiology, or biochemistry.
