
Description
Our client, a manufacturer of electronic components and subsystems focused primarily on the defense market, has an immediate opening for a Precision Mechanical Assembly Technician. This role will perform precision mechanical assembly of machine parts into fixtures for brazing and welding operations.
Responsibilities:
- Use technical drawings and established procedures to ensure accurate assembly
- Operate basic mechanical tooling (e.g., hand tools, dial calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
- Utilize microscopes or magnifier lights as needed for assembly tasks
- Perform leak testing and handle materials such as ceramics and precious metals (experience a plus)
- Additional duties as assigned to support production and team goals
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in a mechanical assembly manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and follow procedural documentation
- Basic computer skills using MS Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Familiarity with basic mechanical tools and measurement equipment (e.g., dial calipers, micrometers)
- Some experience with microscopes or magnifier lights may be required
- Knowledge/experience with ceramics, precious metal handling, and leak testing is a plus
