Our client has an immediate opening for a Mechanical Engineer. This role focuses on the design and development of mechanical components, systems, and human interface devices.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electro-mechanical devices, leveraging expertise in traditional mechanical engineering and SolidWorks
• Create and prototype mechanical components, including motors (stepper and servo), gearboxes, pulleys, and associated technologies
• Design machined parts, sheet metal, fastening mechanisms, and interfaces to consumable devices and human interface devices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, working closely with electronics and software engineers to ensure seamless integration of systems
• Apply systems engineering principles to ensure proper interfacing of electronics and software with mechanical designs (Note: this role does not involve designing electronics or software)
• Ensure that designs meet product specifications and performance requirements

Requirements:

• Strong experience in traditional mechanical engineering and SolidWorks design
• Proven experience in electro-mechanical device design and prototyping
• Familiarity with motors (stepper and servo), controls, gearboxes, pulleys, and related technologies
• Experience in designing machined parts, sheet metal, fastening mechanisms, and human interface devices
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical designs with electronics and software systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
