Description
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing precision machined parts by setting up and operating Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards, maintaining equipment and supplies, and keeping detailed records of production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machining Operations:
- Plan machining tasks by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, and specifications.
- Set up CNC machines by entering instructions, including zero and reference points, tool registers, offsets, compensation, and verifying part programs.
- Load CNC machines with workpieces.
- Ensure precision by verifying machine settings and measuring positions, first-run parts, and sample workpieces.
- Quality Assurance:
- Maintain machining specifications by observing operations, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, replacing worn tooling, and adhering to quality assurance procedures.
- Meet production goals for cycle time, quantity, and quality.
- Maintenance and Safety:
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe while adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment and document actions in required paper/electronic logs.
- Maintain continuity between work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs.
- General Employee Accountabilities:
- Perform tasks to the best of your ability, utilizing full capability to complete work assigned by your manager.
- Communicate with your manager if work assignments are unclear or if obstacles arise that could affect performance.

Qualifications:
- Education/Experience:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED required.
- At least 5 years of machine operating experience, with a focus on CNC machinery.
- Required Skills:
- Proficient in computer skills, including but not limited to Shoptech (E2 Manufacturing software), Microsoft Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel.
