Description
Our client, a medical device contract manufacturing company, has an immediate opening for an Inventory Specialist. This role is responsible for overseeing the organization, management, and accuracy of inventory.
Responsibilities:
- Execute daily cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly, while adhering to applicable material handling requirements, such as clean room controls and electro-static discharge (ESD) requirements
- Maintain precise inventory records and conduct regular audits to verify stock levels
- Coordinate the movement of materials between storage areas and production and service lines, ensuring timely availability. Monitor replenishment locations to ensure allocated material is available to support production flow. Document material movements on manufacturing documentation and the ERP system
- Schedule material movement to and from various warehouse locations, including third party logistics companies
- Analyze inventory data and trends to identify obsolete material, expired material, or otherwise invalid material in the warehouse
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in inventory management and cycle counting procedures
- Ship finished goods, spare parts, and components to customers in accordance with customer-specific requirements or as directed by Customer Service
- Generate reports on inventory discrepancies, cycle count results, and material movements for management review
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Operations, and Customer Service to meet inventory goals
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Inventory Specialist or similar role, preferably in the medical device manufacturing industry
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in inventory management software and systems
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- A motivated individual that is able to work with minimal supervision
