
Description
Our client, a manufacturer of electronic components and subsystems focused primarily on the defense market, has an immediate opening for an Electronic/Mechanical Assembly Technician. This role will be responsible for performing a variety of electronic and mechanical assembly tasks, consistently maintaining a high level of quality.
Responsibilities:
- Use basic tools, including screwdrivers, cutters, and measuring calipers
- Learn and perform routine, repetitive mechanical, electronic, or composite assembly tasks, following well-defined verbal and/or written instructions
- Adhere to prescribed safety rules and regulations while maintaining quality standards
- Perform basic wiring, soldering, welding, brazing, and other electronic or mechanical assembly duties
- Make simple mechanical, electronic, or composite adjustments and alignments
- Develop an understanding of assembly sketches, drawings, and terminology used in electronic and mechanical assembly
- Become adaptable to using various electronic, mechanical, and composite tools, as well as special tools or fixtures as required. You may also use solvents and resins
- Keep your work area organized and clean daily, with possible work in a clean room environment
- Understand and log supporting documentation
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in a mechanical assembly manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and follow procedural documentation
- Basic computer skills using MS Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Familiarity with basic mechanical tools and measurement equipment (e.g., dial calipers, micrometers)
