Our client, a provider of design, installation, and support for business, scientific, and industrial settings, has an immediate opening for a BIM CAD Designer. This role will produce accurate, detailed, working 3D models and 2D construction sheets suitable for construction utilizing sketches, product design sheets, and marked-up drawings.

Responsibilities:

• Participate with the design team to solve design questions and issues
• Participate in client facing coordination meetings to identify clashes, design challenges, and aid in the overall design process
• Process engineering document changes and updates as necessary
• Implement field comments and changes into “As-built” drawings
• Develop preliminary models and drawings to assist sales department in securing new projects
• Ensure that engineering documents are produced in a timely manner and meet standards
• Interpret project parameters and develop engineering documents independently with the aid of the project team as needed
• Develop and archive engineering library assets as necessary based on standards

Requirements:

• Applicable Technical School or Associate Degree
• 2+ years of experience with REVIT and AutoCAD
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite
• Experience with Navisworks and BIM Coordination desired
• Experience with Mechanical Design desired
• Experience with Microsoft Teams desired
• CAD Designers typically work in an office environment, but travel may occasionally be necessary
• CAD Designers work a standard work week but may be required to work some evenings and weekends to meet project milestones on some occasions
