On Friday, the BLS reported that 313,000 jobs were added in February, which is far more than what economists forecasted. Analysts expected that only 205,000 jobs would be added in February. The national unemployment rate remains at 4.1%. One of the larger improvements came in with 61,000 workers added in the field of construction, the highest increase seen in this sector in about 11 years.
Additionally, revised information shows that 239,000 jobs were added in January so the economy continues to be making progress.
